Note for Windows 10 users: Drivers for the USB3-E1000, the USBC-E1000, and USB3-HUB3ME (V1) are pre-installed in Windows 10, and there is no need to download drivers. After downloading, simply double-click on the .exe file to begin installation. You will receive a confirmation that the process has begun, and another upon successful completion- this should take less than a minute on most systems.
Note: ARM-based Windows 8/8.1 tablets such as the Microsoft Surface RT do not have drivers for the ASIX 88179 built in. ASIX does not provide a Surface RT compatible driver for installation.

As of macOS 10.15 Catalina, we no longer officially support ASIX USB Ethernet adapters in macOS due to a cumbersome installation process that does not meet our expectations, but, ultimately, is functional for most customers. These changes are a result of Apple’s implementation of DriverKit and changed requirements for drivers and installation in 10.15. For more information, please find our blog post here.

Which file should you download?
Note:10-GbE adapters (those that support Windows 10) are only supported by 64-bit drivers.
How to use this download
Download the self-extracting archive and run it. It will extract the files to a temporary directory, run the installation wizard, and remove the temporary files when the installation is complete. All language files are embedded in this archive. You don't need to download an extra language pack.

This software may also apply to Intel® Ethernet Controllers. Support for built-in network connections is provided by the system or board manufacturer.
